The invention refers to a method and a device for making use of energy from a compressed air drying system. In a drying tower the drying mass absorbs moisture from compressed air which is transported through the drying mass. According to the methods given in the invention, warm air flows through the drying mass as in a heat exchanger (12) then fed to the surroundings until the drying mass in the drying tower (3) has reached a predetermined degree of dryness. Thereafter the connection with the surroundings is broken, and the warm dry air in the drying tower (3) can circulate through the heat exchanger (12) and the air heater (16) until the drying mass in the drying tower (3) has reached a lower, intended temperature. The heat which is emitted to the heat exchanger (12) is utilised in a suitable manner. According to the invention, the device is comprised of a fan (11) connected to one end of the drying tower (3), one heat exchanger connected to this (12), and one heat exchanger (12) with a connected heat battery (16) that is attached to the other end (3) of the drying tower.<IMAGE> |
