A building material, comprising at least a flexible continuous linear element (8) characterized in that it is constituted of at least one element distributed tir-dimensionally, in random manner, in a mass of solid particles of compact form (1) the continuous linear element contributing to creating a certain cohesion between the different parts of the mass of particles by entwining the said parts, and optionally of a binder keeping substantially open the spaces created by the mass of said particles, and of the continuous linear element, thereby avoiding an excessive rigidity of the material.
