PURPOSE:To prevent intermediate disconnection in the printing of one form by detecting its possibility by a fixed range before the end of a ribbon consumed in a printer using a single-strike ribbon. CONSTITUTION:A disposable single-strike ribbon 1 is wound with a winding reel 5 from a feed reel 2 via a tension roller 3a and a print head 4. As the ribbon 1 is consumed comes off the feed reel 2, a tension roller 3a is pulled with a spring 8 to push a microswitch 9 whereby a control circuit works to stop the printing at a point appropriate for separation. The printing to the separation point is covered with the remaining ribbon. USE:A form printer for a ticketing machine or the like. |
