PURPOSE:To eliminate waste of paper after the replenishment of paper or the like with variable position of detecting shortage of paper by fixing a means of detecting lack of paper movable on a rail provided along the onward direction of the paper. CONSTITUTION:A rail 8 is provided along the onward direction of a printing paper 1 and means 6 and 7 of detecting lack of paper supported movably thereon 8. A scale for indicating the positions of the detection means 6 and 7 is provided along the rail 8. When moving the position of detecting lack of paper, a lock screw 9 attached to an arm 11 is loosened and moved along the scaled rail 8. At the same time, the arm 11, a supporting plate 10 and the detection means for shortage of paper comprising a light emitting element 6 and a light receiving element 7 move together. After the detection means 6 and 7 are moved to the desired position, the lock screw 9 is tightened for fixing. |
