PURPOSE:To restrain thermal deformatiok of a bearing pad by forming a multilayer bearing pad and interposing a heat insulator between layers. CONSTITUTION:A bearing pad 2 has a heat insulator 5 such as a polyester or epoxy resin type glass base material molded article which is disposed near the inner peripheral surface thereof and fastened on the basic material with a bolt or fitted in a dove-tail groove. Thus, the slide surface of the bearing pad 2 and the base thereof are heat insulated by the heat insulator 5, so that heat generated on the slide surface by shearing of oil is not transmitted to the base. Therefore, the radial temperature distribution in the bearing pad is as indicated by a line A. |
