PURPOSE:To obtain an ignition circuit, capable of reducing the time required for interruption of current supply and producing a high output voltage at the time of interrupting current supply, by providing an auxiliary transistor in addition to a main transistor so that a large amount of current is passed to the main transistor before interruption of current supply. CONSTITUTION:The collector of an NPN transistor (Tr) 1 serving as a main transistor is connected to one terminal A of a generator coil 2 which serves also as the primary side of an ignition coil, and the emitter of the Tr 1 is connected to the other end B of the coil 2. On the other hand, the base of the Tr 1 is connected to the anode of a diode 7 and the emitter of an auxiliary Tr 8. The cathode of the diode 7 is connected to the base of the Tr 8 and the collector is connected to said one end A of the generator coil 2 via a resistor 9. Further, the collector of the Tr 8 is connected to the one end A of the coil 2 via a resistor 6. The anode of a thyristor 5 is connected to the base of the transistor Tr 8 while the cathode of the thyristor 5 is connected to the other end B of the coil 2. |
