PURPOSE:To perform thin and uniform coating with a small amt. of a corrosion resistant material by supplying the corrosion resistant material to the parts near the boundaries between the base parts and plating layers of plated steel plates which are removed of the plating layers by resistance welding and melt-sticking the material over the entire surface of the base parts by the heat inertia of welding. CONSTITUTION:Superposed steel plates 1 and 2 are pressurized under prescribed pressure with an upper electrode 3 and a lower electrode 4 and while both electrodes 3 and 4 are rolled in an arrow direction, the steel plates are seam-welded, and both plates 1 and 2 are welded. Plating layers 9 and 10 are melted at the pressurized places and near the same by the resistance heating generated in this time and the pressurizing force of the electrodes and the base parts 1a and 2a of the plates 1 and 2 are exposed by the stripping effect on both sides. When in this state the plates 1 and 2 are delivered with the electrodes 3 and 4, a corrosion resistant material M such as solder is supplied to the parts 1a and 2a from upper nozzles 7, 7 and lower nozzles 8, 8. The material M is melted and run over the entire surface by the heat inertia of welding of the parts 1a and 2a and the parts 1a and 2a are coated with a min. required thickness of the material M simply by using a small amt. of the material M. |
