PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive recording material capable of giving excellent color pictures when high-speed recording is made by using a specific fluoran compound as a chromogenic substance for the heat-sensitive chromogenic layer of a heat-sensitive recording material. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive layer-forming liquid containing a fluoran compound of the formulaI(R is a 5-8 carbon alkyl, R2 is a 1-8 carbon alkyl, and R3 is a 1-2 carbon alkyl), an acid substance such as benzoic acid, salicylic acid, 3,5-xylenol, etc., and a heat-meltable substance such as animal wax, petroleum wax, etc., is coated on a supporter of paper, plastic, etc., and then dried. The preferred amount of the heat-meltable substance is 1-10pts.wt. on the basis of 1pt.wt. fluoran compound. Also, to the heat-sensitive chromogenic layer, an usual binder and auxiliary additives, besides said components, are added in proper amounts. |
