PURPOSE:To set the repeat function and the repeat period in response to the type of the key switch for a keyboard device having the repeat function, by selecting the type of the strobe signal in accordance with the key code. CONSTITUTION:Receiving a key code and the signal showing that a key is pushed from a key controlling part 2, a selection signal producing circuit 5 decides the presence or absence of the repeat function and the duration of the repeat period for the corresponding key code. If no repeat function exists, the circuit 5 feeds the selection signal (a) to a strobe signal producing circuit 6. When it is decided that the repeat function exists with a long repeat period, the signal (a) is delivered to a strobe signal producing circuit 7. While the signal (a) is delivered to a strobe signal producing circuit 8 in case the repeat period is short. Therefore, the key codes corresponding to the presence or absence of the repeat function as well as to the duration of the repeat period are delivered from an output controlling circuit 4 in response to the key switch. |
