PURPOSE:To apply functions which a timepiece has over a wide range by connecting the timepiece to external electronic equipment and putting the external electronic equipment in operation, or by adding a function operated by a signal from the external electronic equipment. CONSTITUTION:Transmission gates 1 and 2 are composed of MOS transistors T1, T2, and T3, T4. Terminals A and B are connected to a timepiece function circuit, and terminals C and D are connected to an external electronic device respectively. When OV (earth potential) is applied to a switch SW, the gate 2 turns off, and the gate 1 turns on and off repeatedly according to an input signal from an external circuit through a terminal C. When a power voltage VSS (nagative voltage) is applied to the switch Sw, the gate 1 turns off and the gate 2 turns on and off repeatedly according to a signal from the inside of the timepiece through the terminal B. Therefor, digital signal information from the inside of the timepiece is transmitted to the external circuit, and digital signal information from the external circuit is transmitted to the timepiece. |
