PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which prevents the failure of a DC power source device and the deterioration of the cathode by the constitution wherein the circuit between the cathode and anode of an electrolytic cell is closed during shutdown whereby the errors in operating sequence of the switches on the inlet and outlet sides of the DC power source switch are prevented in the stage of startup or shutdown. CONSTITUTION:When the operator turns the knob of a rotary switch 15 clockwise in the startup of this disoxidizing device, first a switch 12 is turned on and AC is supplied to a DC power source device 10; at the same time, an air pump 7 starts operating. Thereafter, a switch 13 is turned on and a closed circuit is formed between the DC output side of the device 10 and the cathode 1 and the anode 2. Finally, a switch 14 is turned on and the device 10 starts supplying the DC output. As a result, O2 is consumed on the gas chamber 6 side of a gas diffusing electrode 1; at the same time, O2 is generated with an oxygen generating electrode 2. This O2 escapes through the inside of an electrolyte 3 and is discharged and removed through an O2 discharge port 5 to the outside of the system. When the operator turns the knob of the switch 15 counterclockwise in the stage of shutdown of the device, the switch 14 is turned off to stop the output of the device 10. Thereafter, the switch 13 goes on and a closed circuit is formed between the cathode 1 and the anode 2. |
