PURPOSE:To make an automatic centrifugal clutch compact, by providing its inner plate with a peripheral stepped part bent inwards, to reduce the axial dimension of the clutch. CONSTITUTION:The inner plate 10 of an automatic centrifugal clutch 2 is provided with a stepped part 12 bent inwards. The axial gap l1 between the side plate 7a of an outer clutch member 7 and a clutch shoe 9 and that l2 between the inner plate 10 and a sliding pulley 5 are kept at required lengths, while the axial dimension L of the whole clutch 2 is reduced. An annular gap 13 is defined between the bottom of the stepped part 12 and the outer clutch member 7 to heighten the heat transfer effect. A recess 14 provided on the central part of the inner plate 10 is used as a holder for a spring 11. |
