PURPOSE:To obtain a faithful color image with one color separation through successive developments due to a specific method, by forming color-separated latent images of an original on a carrying material by a color separating filter where minutes filters permitting only three primary colors to transmit through respectively are combined in a form of mosaic. CONSTITUTION:A color separating filter F1 where minute filters of filters B1 which permit only the blue light of three primary colors to transmit through, filters R1 which permit only the red light to transmit through, and filters G1 which permit only the green light to transmit through are combined in a form of mosaic is used, and the optical image of an original is exposed onto a photoreceptor 1 to form electrostatic latent images corresponding to respective color-separated images. Toner layers where toners TY, TC, and TM colored with complementary colors of blue, red, and green are stuck uniformly to surfaces of doners 41, 51, and 61 are charged with polarities opposite to those of latent images in accordance with respective color-separated patterns, and the photoreceptor 1 and respective donors are so rotated that corresponding color- departed latent images on the photoreceptor 1 are developed. Thus, a color image faithful to the original is obtained in a short time with one color separation. |
