1279678 Selecting cards &c M SCHIMMERLING 2 July 1969 [5 July 1968] 33442/69 Heading G4M Cards or document supports 1 have slots which co-operate with selectors 5, Fig. 1, and resilient members associated with the cards or supports are tensioned by the action of the selectors during the separation of selected cards or supports. In Fig. 1 each support 1 is made of resilient material and has a cut-out 8 which snaps over a rod 9 as selectors 5 traverse the stack of supports 1, selected supports 1 remaining in the raised position. In Fig. 3, slotted members 13 are mounted on spring blades 3 and are raised and dropped sequentially under the action of blades 3 as a carriage carrying an endless lifting band and selectors 5 traverses the side of the stack. A selected support 1 drops fully on to the selectors 5 and prevents further advancement of the carriage. Selectors 5 may be discs which can be moved to selected positions on a common shaft 4, Fig. 1. |
