PURPOSE:To provide a separator with a buffer member secured to a pusher and adapted to apply component force to a transported article in the direction of transportation by forward movement of the pusher so as to attain reliable separation. CONSTITUTION:A pusher 4 is moved backward, and a stopper 3 is projected below a transport path 1 so as to supply a plurality of transported articles 2 to the transport path 1. At this time, a buffer member 6 is oval and the end portion A thereof is separated from the transported article 2b. After that, the pusher 4 is operated so that the buffer member 6 pushes the transported article 2b and the stopper 3 is detached. At this time, the projection of the pusher 4 causes an O-ring 7 to deform at a point A where the ring is first brought into contact with the transported article an to be substantially L-shaped, so that component force of the arrow direction is applied to the transported article 2b. Therefore, the lowermost transported article 2a, which is about to be lifted up together with the upper transported article 2b, is separated from the transported article 2b to be lowered by its dead load and friction between the article and the transport path 1. |
