PURPOSE:To enable to prevent generation of white smoke effectively even in a fairly small space, by disposing in an exhaust passage of a cooler tower a distributing mechanism including a distributing and mixing means for mixing high- temperature, dry air supplied from the outside and wet exhaust gas efficiently. CONSTITUTION:Open air drawn from an opening 6 formed in the tower wall is brought into contact with circulating water in a filler material 2, and wet, high-temperature exhaust gas thus obtained is discharged to the outside by an exhaust fan 5. Here, a distributing mechanism A is provided in an exhaust passage 4. This distributing mechanism A is composed of a main annular duct 11 having a supply port 10 connected to a dry, high-temperature air generating means, branch ducts 12 connected to the main duct 11 and having many outlet ports 13, and air-flow controlling dampers 14 disposed at proper positions of the ducts 11, 12. |
