PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized video system of less picture degradation, by mixing and recording a low-band converted color signal, which is obtained by subjecting a color difference signal to quadrature two-phase modulation with a low-band converting carrier wave, and a luminance signal subjected to FM modulation. CONSTITUTION:A luminance signal and a color signal are separated from a video signal taken out from an image pickup part 4, and the video signal is converted to the luminance signal and color difference signals R-Y and B-Y in matrix circuit 7. A low-band converting modulation signal generated in a synchronizing signal generating circuit 10 passes through a phase shift circuit 11 and a 90 deg. shift circuit 12 and is subjected to quadrature two-phase modulation in an R-Y modulator 8 and a B-Y modulator 9 and has the level adjusted by a level adjuster 17 and is sent to a recording amplifier 18. The low-band converted color signal and the luminance signal subjected to FM modulation are mixed in the recording amplifier 18 and are amplified and are recorded on a tape. In the reproducing, a switch 19 is connected to the P side to perform reproducing in a reproducing private machine 3. |
