PURPOSE:To reduce the fuel cost by increasing the pretical flame temperature of a fuel of a low theoretical flame temperature, which fuel has conventionally been discarded, such as a blast furnace gas or the like, by preheating the fuel by means of hot air generated due to burning of a part of the fuel. CONSTITUTION:The sintering installation 1 which produces a sintered ore 2 by sintering a raw material is constructed in such a manner that at the ore feed side of an endless pallet group 3 consisting of a number of pallets running in the direction shown by arrow A, are successively arranged a bed ore tank 4, a raw material tank 5, a preheating furnace 6 and an ignition furnace 7. Here, a hot air generator 9 is designed to burn a part of the fuel having a low theoretical flame temperature, that is, a blast furnace gas 8, under supply of combustion air 11. Hot air generated in the hot air generator 9 is supplied to a pre-heating furnace 6 through a gas-gas heat exchanger 10. The remaining parts of the blast furnace gas 8 and the combustion air was pre-heated by the above heat exchanger 10, and then supplied to the ignition furnace 7. The gas and air burnt in the ignition furnace 7 to turn the raw material. Thus, the sintered ore 2 is formed. |
