An electro-optical illuminated panel having a display which is fixed or runs from right to left over the illuminated panel, is formed from illuminated dots and comprises letters and/or numbers, is characterised in that the illuminated panel is in the form of one line and is installed in a rectangular casing which can be fitted on the rear parcel shelf of a motor vehicle, such that it can be seen through the rear window, and in that various displays can be set in one console which is provided separately from the casing and is connected thereto via electrical lines or a wireless connection. <IMAGE>
