The invention relates to a connection piece for clamping rails, by means of which, in the case of structure seals, the sealing sheets, e.g. on flat roofs, are joined on the adjacent walls. The connection piece comprises a bent-off sheet-metal strip which entirely encloses the clamping rails at the joints on the front side, top and bottom and partially encloses those on the rear side. For straight connections there is provided, on the rear side, an indented beaded portion as a mounting aid and to achieve an expansion joint. For corner connections there is provided, in the centre of the top and bottom bent-off portions a cutout of at least double, maximum bent-off width. By means of the connection pieces, the rails can be easily laid to form a continuous unit with concealed expansion joint.
