A collapsible wheelchair, which is designed for easy folding into a flat package, good seating comfort and assured adjustability.The wheelchair involves two preferably level rigid frame parts across the width of the chair, namely a rear section (1) in which the wheelchair's two wheel pairs (4, 5) are fixed and a back support part (2) which at its lower end is connected by joints (16) to the rear section's rear end. The wheelchair involves, furthermore, a carrier section (3) with the seat itself and a downward slanting leg support part (12), which projects forward. Via joints at its rear end, the carrier section is connected to the back support part at some distance above the rear section, and to the leg support part via an adjustable locking device (20) in the leg support part's lengthways direction which is connected to the rear part's forward ends. By the fact that the joints (16, 17) have joint axles parallel to the rear wheel axle (7), the wheelchair is forwardly collapsible when the locking device is open. The wheelchair rear wheels have a detachable fastening in the rear wheel axle via the locking device.<IMAGE> |
