The block is used in building structures, and has the appearance of natural stone; it is moulded from a mixt. contg. 170-190 kg/cu.m white cement; 14-17 kg/cu.m hydraulic lime; 3-6 kg/cu.m CaO; 1500-1700 kg/cu.m limestone- sawdust or -scrap; and 320-335 kg/cu.m water at the time moulding. The moulded block or bondstone pref. contains cavities which can be filled with insulation materials. The moulded block has smooth surfaces with the texture of natural stone, and a compression strength equal to, or higher than, that of ashlar.
