<p>PURPOSE:To keep vegetables and fruits fresh by controlling atmosphere and pressure in a container for preserving these vegetables and fruits in a storage cabinet provided with the container. CONSTITUTION:This storage cabinet is constituted of an oxygen-enriched membrane 2 attached to openable hermetically sealed chamber 1 housed in the storage cabinet, an air duct 8 provided in the circumference of the hermetically sealed chamber coupled by oxygen-enriched air intake 4, a pressure- reducing pump 3 connected to the air duct 8 and sucking atmosphere in the hermetically sealed chamber 1, a nitrogen-enriched membrane 5 connecting sucked oxygen-enriched air to a duct 8 for selectively permeating nitrogen from the oxygen-enriched air discharged from a discharge port 9 of the pressure- reducing pump 3, a closed circuit duct for circulating permeated nitrogen- enriched air to the interior of the hermetically sealed chamber 1 and a discharge port 7 for discharging the oxygen-enriched air remaining in the duct 8 out of the cabinet by opening the port when pressure-reducing pump 3 is stopped and valve of the discharge port 9 is closed.</p> |
