A top limit breaker, for a winch, a crane, a windlass or something similar, is equipped with a winch motor 8 which through a line, wire or chain, runs from some fixed point on the winch arm 5. From a place approximately where the line runs out from the crane arm, there in the form of a hose, a pipe, a spiral coil, or something similar, a flexible unit 14 is mounted, which in its outer end contains a top limit breaker 18 which through a cable 20 is arranged to break the stream or the hydraulic flow to the winch motor. The lifting or dragging line 9 runs through a control device 17 in the end 16 of the flexible unit 14 and is arranged so that when drawn in over a certain limit it can act on the top limit breaker 18 by contact with a breaker arm 19 to the same. The flexible unit 14 allows drawing of the line 9 in any kind of angle from the outlet of the crane arm 5 and the drawing in of the line 9 before the top limit breaker's 18 actuation position without the line or any part of the winch or crane being damaged. <IMAGE> |
