A desk computer (211) for fee storage and evaluation for doctors is described which has an input device exhibiting an alphanumeric key pad (226) and a function key pad (227), a microprocessor which is connected to a read-only memory for the control program, a display panel (242, 243) as the output device and selectively activatable peripheral devices between the input and output device and the microprocessor and its associated read-only memory. So that the desk computer (211) can be designed for this particular form of organisation and can be operated and handled in a particularly simple manner without requiring specially trained technicians for this purpose, the input device also has a name key pad (228) from which preferably several one- or multi-digit values can be optionally allocated to each name key (231) and these can be stored key-specifically in a RAM memory in such a manner that they can be called up for processing. <IMAGE>
