PURPOSE:To align the centers of a hardening head and a steel pipe to be hardened easily and quickly by fixing the supporting parts of the steel pipe and moving the hardening head vertically in correspondence to the outside diameter of the steel pipe to be hardened. CONSTITUTION:At least >=2 sets of aligning devices 5 each consisting of supporting shafts 51, 51b, crank arms 53, 53b fixed to the shafts 51, 51b, and crank safts 54, 54a fixed to the arms 53, 53b in the positions apart from the centers of the shafts 51, 51b and supported to bearings 55, 56, 55a, 56b are provided at suitable intervals before and behind the body 11. A hardening head 1 is placed on the shafts 51, 51b directly or via members or the like and the head 1 is moved vertically by turning the arms 53, 53b cooperatively until its center aligns to the center of the pipe P to be hardened. |
