PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an antistatic membrane for a spacer, having high stability and excellent reproducibility, and also to provide a display device using the same membrane. SOLUTION: This antistatic membrane is a film made of a nitride of an alloy of yttrium with a transition metal. When this display device has a structure where a substrate 2 mounted with plural cold-cathode emissive elements and a transparent substrate 7 comprising a luminescent material are made to face each other through a spacer 10, the spacer 10 has a structure where the surface of an insulating member 10a is coated with a film 10c made of a nitride of an alloy of yttrium with a transition metal.
