PURPOSE:To simplify the searching function to a faulty repeater by detecting the fault occurrence of a pulse regeneration and output part and stopping the operation of an FF, driven by the train of discrimination codes. CONSTITUTION:In a repeater used for a transmission line which employs ternary pulse codes, a received signal is amplified by an equalizing and amplifying circuit 14, discriminating circuits 15 and 16 discriminate between a positive polarity and a negative polarity pulse, and pulses are regenerated and outputted by a pulse regeneration and output part 17. Output code strings from the discriminating circuits 15 and 16 are applied to an FF21 through an OR circuit 20 and a gate circuit 27. A pulse break detecting circuit 19 detects the output waveform of an output pulse string and when the output waveform becomes abnormal, a gate circuit 27 is closed to stop the code string applied to the FF21. Then, the output of the FF21 is detected to discriminate the propriety of the repeater. |
