PURPOSE:To reduce the size and weight of a large power generator capable of producing large electric power and operating in high frequency by forming in combination of a resonance circuit made of inductance and capacitance and a static induction transistor. CONSTITUTION:Static induction transistors Q2, Q3 set at the maximum allowable voltage to a value between 300V and 2,000V are connected in push-pull manner, a resonance circuit of an inductance and a capacitor is connected to the output side, and the bases of transistors Q2, Q3 are driven by an oscillator which contains a transistor Q4, VG is applied as a gate bias and VD is applied as a drain bias to the transistors to operate them in the frequency band of several tens kHz to several 10s MHz. Accordingly, the maximum allowable voltages of the transistors Q2, Q3 are suitably selected to use small capacitor and other components of the resonance circuit, thereby reducing the size and weight of the power generator. |
