摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of products while decreasing the number of the stages of writing, by minimizing the amount of data written nearly in the center of an adjustment range when the adjustment data is written in a storage device. CONSTITUTION:A code converting circuit 13 which converts the 1st code array (N bits, M words) into the 2nd code array (n bits, m words) decreases the number of write data of each word in the 1st code array monotonously from the 1st word nearly to the (M/2)th word. Then, a monotonously increasing array is constituted from the (M/2+1)th word to the (M)th word. Consequently, when timepiece pace has normal variance distribution from +21PPM to -24PPM, the number of write data for the adjustment of an about 68% timepiece is >=1 and that of an about 95% timepiece is >=2, so that the reliablility of the timepieces is improved greatly in accordance with a decrease in the number of write data.
