The children's swing is designed to give a limited range of movement. The braking process starts gently and becomes progressive as the movement increases and leads up to full braking. The energy is not absorbed, but is stored and can be retrieved. A rotating rod is used for both braking and energy storage which is also used as a distance element between the bearing trestles. The system also includes a sleeve with two stop noses having a symmetrical seating and positioned along the centre of the length of the rotating rod, with the sleeve used to transmit forces from the movement of the swing pipe to tension the rotating rod and to release that tension.
|
