The control is for a working cylinder or similar. It has a path valve (12) and a stop block (13) with release piston (21), acting with a valve slide (41,42). This engages on a valve seat (39,40), and controls the connection between path valve, stop block and working cylinder. The release piston on valve slide carries a lifting piston (23,24), to raise the slide off the seat. The lifting piston has an outward directed collar (25,26). The collar acts with a constriction (29,30) and a following expanded section (31,32) to form a throttle. The release piston is held radially movable on the release piston. It has a bore, to accommodate a bolt on the valve slide.
