A thermoplastic hollow article, particularly a blow-moulded container, in which the usual decorative label applied to the outside either as such or covered by a transparent film, is replaced by a section of transparent film with the required pattern or decoration printed on the back, which is then bonded to the required region of the container. Preferably the film is recessed into the container wall either so that its outer surface is flush with the exterior surface of the container, or alternatively is fixed in a deeper recess. The film section may be plane or corrugated to coincide with a similarly corrugated region on the container wall. Preferably the film section on the inner wall container wall, by placing the section on the inner wall of the blow-mould, so that the container is blown, while still plastic, against the film section and fuses thereto. |
