An underfeed furnace contains a combustion space, on which nozzles with inwardly directed outlets are mounted. The nozzles are profiled in such a manner that they afford an adequate time for the complete combustion of the fuel in the combustion space. A bevelled refractory ring surrounds the nozzles, the inclined surface assisting emptying of the solid combustion residues from the combustion space. <IMAGE> |
