The performance monitor uses a pulse beat registering device and a counter receiving pulses from a pulse generator responding to accelerations. The counter output is periodically multiplied with that of the pulse beat registering device with the output of the multiplier fed to a digital display. Pref. the pulse beat registering device is coupled to a store receiving the recorded value in response to a clock signal and selectively blocked by the pulses provided by the pulse generator. This clock signal may also be used to reset the counter which is pref. coupled to a second store with the contents of either store selectively fed to the digital display.
