PURPOSE:To obtain a positive type dry recording member having satisfactory characteristics in ground density and rereversal without using a poisonous substance such as Hg by adding a specified amount of a specified dye to a photosensitive and heat sensitive layer contg. an oxidizing agent for org. silver salt, silver halide, a reducing agent and a toning agent. CONSTITUTION:A dye represented by the formula [where each of R1 and R2 is H, 1-8C alkyl, allyl, phenyl, xylyl, tolyl or acyl of 1-3C alkyl, all of R3-R6 are H or one of them is 1 or 2C lower alkyl, halogen or (substituted) phenyl, the substituent is CH3, halogen, CH3O or the like, and the others are H, Z is (substituted) benzene or (substituted) nephthalene, the substituent is halogen, methoxy, 1-4C alkyl or a group of atoms required to form a ring such as phenyl, and n is 0 or 1] is added as a sensitizing dye by 10<-2>-10<-6> mole per one mole oxidizing agent for org. silver salt. Thus, a positive type copying material fit for microfilm and a simple copier is obtd. |
