PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability of electrically conductive paste in electrical connection by adding a silane coupling agent to the paste placed between opposite lead electrodes of an image display device. CONSTITUTION:An image display device is composed essentially of 2 electrodes 14, 18 holding a substance 16 capable of displaying an image under applied voltage and of electrically conductive paste 17 placed between opposite lead electrodes 13, 14'. To the paste 17 contg. electrically conductive metallic powder and synthetic resin as principal components is added a silane coupling agent by 0.05-10wt%. The coupling agent is an organosilicon monomer having >=2 reactive groups, and it includes the compounds of formula I, II, III. Thus, exfoliation at the sticking interface between each of the electrodes and the paste is prevented. |
