PURPOSE:To produce the titled substance efficiently, by cultivating a variant strain, belonging to the genus Corynebacterium, and having the adenine requirement and resistance to the adenine or rifampicin and the ability to produce 5'-inosinic acid. CONSTITUTION:A microorganism, e.g. Corynebacterium equi AJ11549 or AJ11550, belonging to the genus Corynebaterium is cultivated in the conventional liquid culture medium containing a carbon source, e.g. glucose or ethanol, a nitrogen source, e.g. ammonium sulfate or nitrate, and adenine as a required nutrient and if necessary other minor nutrients under aerobic conditions. After separating the microbial cell, the resultant filtrate is treated by an ion exchange resin to give the aimed aqueous solution containing the 5'-inosinic acid. |
