<p>A rigid moulded frame for internal support of a seat incorporates a series of pairs of convergent ribs located within a hollow channel profile at the edge of the frame. A fringe of covering fabric can be doubled up beneath the channel and secured by pushing a fold of matl. between the convergent ribs, using a plastic (unspecified) rod insert to support and trap the crown of the fold above the convergent ribs. Alternately the fabric may be inserted and trapped by use of profiles resembling a broad headed rigid elastic split pin. Simplifies the fitting of covers e.g. car seats having a core of flexible (polyether or polyurethane) foam.</p> |
