PURPOSE:To produce a metal mold for molding having improved adhesion between the deposited metal layer and filled metal when a low m.p. metal is filled on the rear side of a deposited metal layer formed on a master by plating to obtain a metal mode, by interposing plural metal layers so that a deposited metal-based compsn. changes gradually into a low m.p. metal-based compsn. CONSTITUTION:Ni is deposited on the surface of a master 1 by plating to form a deposited metal layer 2 and a low m.p. metal 5 such as Zn (or a Zn alloy) for reinforcement is filled on the rear side of the layer 2 to obtain a metal mold for molding. At this time, a thermally sprayed layer 3 is formed as an intermediate layer on the deposited metal layer 2 by successively laminating a first thermally sprayed layer 7 (about 100% Ni), a second thermally sprayed layer 8 (about 80vol.% Ni and about 20vol.% Zn), a third thermally sprayed layer 9 (about 50vol.% Ni and about 50vol.% Zn), a fourth thermally sprayed layer 10 (about 20vol.% Ni and about 80vol.% Zn) and a fifth thermally sprayed layer 11 (ABOUT 100% Zn). The master 1 is then enclosed with a frame 5, molten Zn as the low m.p. filling metal 5 is poured on the fifth layer 11 and the deposited metal layer 2 is released from the master 1 to obtain a metal mold for molding. |
