PURPOSE:To enable to increase the reliability as the entire recognizing system, by changing the discrimination threshold value of the recognizing section according to the pulsive processing. CONSTITUTION:The character pattern on the document 1 is in photoelectric conversion at the observing device 2 and enters the preprocessor 3. The pattern sampled at the preprocessor 3 for one character's share is picked up for the characteristic at the characteristic pickup section 4 and fed to the recognizing section 5. The section 5 compares the standard pattern group read out from the standard pattern memory 6 with the input pattern and gives the result of recognition for the code representing disable recognition to the control section 7. If the recognition is disable, it enters pulsive processing, and under the control of the control section 7 consisting of processors like microcomputer, the parameter for the preprocessor 3 and characteristic pickup section 4 can be changed. Further, according to the mode of pulsive processing, the address of discrimination threshold value memory 8 is changed and the threshold values A, B given to the section 5 can be changed. |
