Compactor for residue containers - uses hydraulic ram advancing into chamber with swingable lid and front door to compress cleaned containers

The compacting chamber has a lid (2) and door (3) at the discharge end. The chamber (1) is mounted on the vehicle chassis (5) horizontally, with a slight incline towards the discharge end. The lid (2), the door (3) and the compacting ram (6) are hydraulically operated. The bottom part of the chamber adjacent to the discharge opening (7) has an opening (8) and a discharge trough (10) underneath. Empty containers are placed into the chamber from above, the lid and door swung closed and the advancing ram squeezes residual matter from the containers, while they are compressed.
