The hydraulic control for brakes and steering has the servo steering and the servo brakes linked in series by a control line. On servo loss the control valves isolate the steering and short circuit the steering servo. Manual steering is still possible, while the brakes are operated by a direct manual drive from the master brake cylinder. The whole system is driven by a single servo pump and reservoir. If the servo fails then the servo steering is not blocked, but operates independently.
