The fodder dispenser is especially for automatic pig feeding. It has a fodder chamber, in front of which is a feed trough, with a swing valve which forms the bottom boundary of the feed chamber and feed trough and is pivoted backwards by the animal. At the valve location, the feed chamber and the feed trough have a common bottom wall which can be brought into a position at a spacing from the swing valve by means of setting elements in the form of height-adjustable rods.
