Moving paper strip printing system - controls inking to give alternating printed and unprinted sections

The system prints a continuous moving paper strip divided into partly cut-out sections, using a printing block whose length is a whole dividend or multiple of the section length. Application of ink by the block to the paper is so controlled that a predetermined number of printed sections alternate with a predetermined number of unprinted ones. The latter are printed in a subsequent and similarly controlled operation. The sections can be cut out into sheets and stacked in sets comprising those printed in a complete printing cycle.
