<p>PURPOSE:To heat all Al billets to a target temp. and to prevent a decrease in the yield of the heated Al billets by providing a preheating stage to only the first Al billet when plural Al billets are simultaneously heated to a target temp. by an induction heating furnace. CONSTITUTION:When the Al billets are simultaneously heated two by two by the induction heating furnace to 480 deg.C, for example, the first Al billet A is firstly preheated to 240 deg.C which is one half of the target temp. at the rear position of the heating furnace. At this time, the second Al billet B is charged to the front position of the heating furnace, and heated. When the billet A is heated to the target temp. of 480 deg.C, the billet A is discharged from the heating furnace and sent to the succeeding stage. As the same time, the third billet C is charged to the front position of the heating furnace, and the billet B heated to 240 deg.C is moved to the rear position of the hating furnace and further heated. When the billet B is heated to 480 deg.C, the billet B is discharged, and the fourth billet is sent into the heating furnace. The billets are successively heated in this way, and all the Al billets are heated to the target temp. in 100% yield.</p> |
