To give the grooved channel effect in a pile fabric, by shearing the pile structure, a number of blades are located across the fabric width, so that together they can form a straight edge. Each blade can slide between an upper and lower position, and be fixed in each setting. The system allows a number of grooved channels of various widths and depths to be set up and executed in the pile fabric surface.
