PURPOSE:To prevent inconveniences based on static charge by directly connecting the members which generate static charge during copying process to earth after the completion of copying and flowing the static charge held to the earth. CONSTITUTION:Electrostatic charge generates during copying process in the shields 2a, 4a, 5a of corona discharges for charging, transferring and destaticizing and in a developing machine 3, and the static charge is held therein. Said shields 2a, 4a, 5a and the housing 3a of the developing machine are connected to earth 8 via a main relay 7, and the electrodes 2b, 4b, 5b of the respective corona dischargers and a magnet roll 3b are connected to the earth 8 via the 1st-4th relays 111-114. At the start of copying, a preset switch 12 and a main switch 13 go ON and the above- described relays 7, 111-114 go OFF. When the copying ends, said relays 7, 111- 114 go ON. Since the above-described shields and developing machine are connected to the earth 8, said electrostatic charge flows to the earth. |
