The rotating and gyrating rotor (10) of a Moineau type motor, e.g. for use in a well drill string, has an extension (15) disposed on its lathe axis and received in a slot or recess (14) in an output shaft (12) whereby the latter is rotated solely in response to the gyration of the rotor. The extension may be cylindrical or spherical, and may be captive in the output shaft. The tail end of the rotor may carry a similar extension accommodated in an eccentric recess of a bearing member. <IMAGE> |
