<p>The hinge assembly (3) connects door- or window frame section (1) with leaf section (2). The frame- as well as the leaf section can be either an extruded section or built up from sheet metal suitably pressed. The sections (1) and (2) are provided with open slots (4,5) with turned-over edges (6,7) resulting in a C-shaped cross section. Inside the C-shaped cross section sliding blocks (8,9) are fitted with tapping accepting fixing screws (17). The hinge butts (10,11) are provided with ribs (15,16) in hinge pin axial direction providing a tight fit seating in the open slots of the C-shape once the screws (17) are tightened. The two hinge butts (11,12) swivel on hinge pin (13) with ends slightly recessed from the ends of respective hinge bushings (12) while the remaining lengths of the bushing are closed up by plastics caps.</p> |
